On March 14, 2025, the Department of Management, Marketing and Quality Assurance in Pharmacy of the National University of Pharmacy held a scientific and practical seminar on the occasion of World Consumer Rights Day.
This day is an important reminder of the need to protect consumer rights in all areas of economic activity. It contributes to raising awareness about the safety of goods and services consumed by people and the development of relevant legislation. In particular, such measures contribute to strengthening consumer confidence in the market and ensuring their rights in a globalized environment.
The speakers of the seminar were professors, associate professors of the National University of Pharmacy.
The seminar was opened by Volodymyr MALYI, Doctor of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Professor, Head of the Department of Management, Marketing and Quality Assurance in Pharmacy of the National University of Pharmacy. He congratulated the participants on the occasion of World Consumer Rights Day, wishing them success in their work and new scientific achievements.
Professor of the Department of Management, Marketing and Quality Assurance in Pharmacy Tetyana KRUTSKIH delivered a report on the topic “Protection of Consumer Rights: History, International Experience and National Strategies of Ukraine”. The speaker emphasized the importance of adapting national strategies to international standards to ensure effective protection of consumer rights. Particular attention was paid to improving approaches taking into account global trends, which allows ensuring a high level of protection and compliance with modern market requirements.
Professor of the Department of Management, Marketing and Quality Assurance in Pharmacy of the National University of Pharmacy Svitlana KOVALENKO focused on the importance of proper packaging and labeling of medicines for effective protection of consumer rights. She emphasized that proper packaging and labeling is one of the key means of preventing the falsification of medicines, which directly affects consumer safety. The report also discussed the main approaches that contribute to increasing the level of trust in medicines and ensuring effective protection of consumer rights.
Associate Professor of the Department of Management, Marketing and Quality Assurance in Pharmacy, National University of Pharmacy, Tetyana ZBOROVSKA, highlighted important aspects of consumer rights protection in a circular economy, in particular, issues of transparency of production processes, guarantees of product safety, producer responsibility and increasing consumer awareness of sustainable consumption.
The scientific and practical seminar became an important platform for discussing consumer rights protection issues, bringing together professionals and the academic community. The event contributed to the exchange of experience, the development of new ideas and approaches in ensuring consumer rights. The participants thanked the organizers for the opportunity for fruitful cooperation and expressed hope for further constructive meetings.
