On May 15, 2025, the Department of Management, Marketing and Quality Assurance in Pharmacy of the National University of Pharmacy held a roundtable in the format of a video conference dedicated to a public discussion of the draft educational and professional program (EPP) “Healthcare and Pharmaceutical Business Management”. The event was attended by both external and internal stakeholders, including employers – representatives of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine, leading healthcare institutions and pharmaceutical organizations, representatives of the academic community, members of the working (project) group, graduates of different years and current higher education students. The participants of the event discussed the content of the EPP, its relevance, compliance with employers’ requests and directions for further development of the program.
The Head of the Department of Management, Marketing and Quality Assurance in Pharmacy, Professor Volodymyr MALYI, addressed the participants of the roundtable with a welcoming speech. He noted that the main goal of the EPP “Healthcare and Pharmaceutical Business Management” is to train competent specialists for the healthcare system and the pharmaceutical industry. According to Professor Volodymyr MALYI, the training of future specialists is at a high level due to the powerful scientific potential of both the university and the graduating department, many years of experience in teaching specialized disciplines, as well as fruitful cooperation with practical medicine and pharmacy.
The participants of the event were also greeted by the Guarantor of the EPP “Healthcare and Pharmaceutical Business Management”, Professor Olga POSYLKINA. She familiarized the participants of the round table with the key aspects of the procedure for public discussion of the program, which took place in 2025. She sincerely thanked all stakeholders for their active participation, constructive comments and suggestions provided in the reviews and expressed during the questionnaire process. She emphasized that all recommendations will be carefully analyzed by the working group and, if possible, implemented in the educational process. She noted that, taking into account the proposals made during the previous public discussions, the number of educational components taught in English has been increased at the EPP. Also, based on the recommendations of practitioners, new educational components have been introduced into the curriculum: “Office Management”, “Lean Management”, “Management and Leadership”. She noted that the number of EPP applicants is increasing every year: and if in 2019 there were only 18 of them, then in 2024 44 applicants were enrolled in training and this is really good dynamics.
The round table was attended by scientists and practitioners from different parts of Ukraine: Kyiv, Kharkiv, Zaporizhzhia, Sumy, Cherkasy, Vinnytsia, Poltava, Kropyvnytskyi, as well as from far abroad – France:

During the public discussion, the participants of the round table assessed the importance, content and relevance of the EPP, and also expressed constructive ideas for its further development. Their proposals concerned further strengthening the practical component of the program, expanding the list of educational components taking into account modern trends in the development of the medical services market, expanding the topics of qualification works by introducing topics related to rehabilitation management, tourism medical management, etc.
Also, the discussion of the EPP project was attended by applicants who highly appreciated the organization of the educational process, the quality of teaching and expressed their suggestions for further improvement of the program.
