On May 6, 2025, a round table was held at the National University of Pharmacy to discuss the educational program “Quality, Standardization and Certification” of the second (master’s) level of higher education in the specialty D3 Management, field of knowledge D Business, Administration and Law.
The round table meeting was opened by the head of the Department of Management, Marketing and Quality Assurance in Pharmacy, Professor Volodymyr MALYI, who noted that the primary task of the educational program “Quality, Standardization and Certification” (EP QSS) is to train highly qualified specialists for enterprises and organizations of various fields of activity. The high level of professional training of applicants is ensured by a powerful scientific school, many years of experience in teaching professionally-oriented educational components, and the developed activities of the NUPh in the field of management and quality assurance.
The guarantor of the EP QSS, Professor Svitlana KOVALENKO, noted that over 25 years, more than 2,000 quality management specialists have been trained at the NUPh. The training of higher education applicants meets the current demands of the labor market, and graduates have all the opportunities for further professional and scientific careers.
During their speeches, the round table participants noted the high professional level of teaching educational components in the educational program and the competitiveness of graduates in the labor market. Stakeholders also noted that the achievement of program learning outcomes in the EP QSS is facilitated by the use of various methods and forms of the educational process.
The quality of specialist training is ensured by highly qualified teachers of the NUPh, primarily the Department of Management, Marketing and Quality Assurance in Pharmacy, who have several higher educations in the teaching profile. Leading practitioners in quality management of domestic and international organizations, institutions and enterprises are also involved in the educational process.
During the discussion of the EP QSS, stakeholders-employers proposed to include the latest regulatory acts of the pharmaceutical industry in the content of the elective component “Quality Systems in Pharmacy”, to supplement the material of the educational component “Quality Management Systems” with the features of implementing a quality management system in blood services. A proposal was made to expand the general competencies of the EP QSS regarding the principles of inadmissibility of corruption and prevention of academic dishonesty.
All recommendations will be taken into account and processed by the working project group and included in the EP QSS, which will contribute to its improvement.
